The Mercedes GLC may have been a little late to get the party invitation marked ‘upmarket, affordable compact SUVs’ - but it finally got a UK launch in 2015, a whole seven years after Stuttgart decided that the UK wasn’t among the target markets for its predecessor, the GLK.
